Tour Overview

This package offers you best chance to witness the Great Wildebeest Migration all year round as visit both parts of the Serengeti-Mara ecosystem which is home to the annual wildebeest migration where 2.5 million wildebeest, zebra and gazelles follow the rains in search of new grass. They make their way from the Serengeti to the Masai Mara somewhere around July and August, and usually arrive in September. The crossing of the Mara River along the way is one of the highlights of this spectacular event. They slowly head back into Tanzania around October

Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi - Lake Nakuru via Lake Naivasha

Pick up after breakfast and transfer to Lake Nakuru. Proceed on with your game drive. Lake Nakuru National Park which covers 180 sq km. The park is home to warthogs, waterbuck, buffaloes, reedbucks, and the occasional leopard. White and black rhinos were introduced to the park some years ago and you may find white rhino at the southern end. The park has also retained its reputation as an ornithologists’ delight with more than 400 species of bird found here. Lunch at Flamingo Hill Camp. Enjoy your afternoon/evening game drive at Lake Nakuru National Park. Overnight at Masai Mara Sopa lodge. Full board accommodation.

Day 2: Lake Nakuru to - Masai Mara via Lake Naivasha.

Before departing for Masai Mara. Boat rides can be arranged at minimal cost by your guide at Lake Naivasha.(Optinal)

There after proceed to Masai Mara Game Reserve. The next two days shall be spent game viewing, either in the early morning hours or in the evening as this is when we have the best chances of seeing animals.

On clear days, the Mara offers fantastic orange tinted sunsets and you will definitely want to capture this moment while sipping on a sundowners back at your lodge. The Mara reserve is 1510 sq km of incredible wide-open landscapes and fertile riverine woodland following the looping meanders of the Mara and Talek rivers. Wherever you go in the Mara you will see a frequent amount of wildlife such as Masai giraffe, baboons, warthogs, bat eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyena, topis, impala, hartebeests, wildebeest. Elephants, buffaloes, zebras and hippos also exist in great numbers. It is also common to see lions either basking after a heavy meal. Overnight at Masai Mara Sopa lodge.

Day 3: Masai Mara

Early morning Balloon ride at the Plains of Masai Mara can be arranged at USD.500 Per person not included in the quote will be followed by a bush breakfast Otherwise, enjoy all day game drive inside Masai Mara. Continue with your full day of game drive at Masai Mara Game. Or your guide can take you to visit Maasai village for cultural learning. Then overnight at: Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge.

Day 4: Masai Mara - Serengeti

Transfer after your morning breakfast for Serengeti National Park. This will take up to 8 hours total of driving through, leaving with en rote game drive from Masai Mara to the border, exchanged cars and drivers from Kenya To Tanzania, at Isebania border. Then proceed to Serengeti Grummeti migration lodge for overnight just bordering the park. It is about 3.5 hours-4 from Masai Mara to Isebania border of Tanzania and Kenya where you will be exchanging the cars and drivers then another 3.5-4 hours from the Border to Asanja Africa Tented Camp.

Day 5: Serengeti

Enjoy your full day of game viewing at Serengeti National Reserve.

Day Day 6: Serengeti - Ngorongoro crater

Depart after your morning breakfast with your picnic lunch boxes to Ngorongoro Crater which is often called ‘Africa’s Eden and the ‘8th Natural Wonder of the World a visit to the crater is a main draw card for tourists coming to Tanzania and a definite world-class attraction. Within the crater rim, large herds of zebra and wildebeest graze nearby while sleeping lions laze in the sun.

At dawn, the endangered black rhino returns to the thick cover of the crater forests after grazing on dewladen grass in the morning mist. Just outside the crater’s ridge, tall Masaai herd their cattle and goats over green pastures through the highland slopes, living alongside the wildlife as they have for centuries. You will be transferred to Ol dupai gorge for a 45 Min lecture on the evolution of man. There after descend to the rim of the crater for your half day of game viewing. And overnight at Ngorongoro Serena safari lodge

Day 7: Ngorongoro -Tarangire

Probably is one of the least visited of the northern Tanzanian game parks, and retains a real air of undiscovered Africa, particularly in the south of the park. Just two hours’ drive away from Arusha. It lies a little distance to the south east of Lake Manyara and covers an area of approximately 2,850 square kilometers. It is named after the Tarangire River that flows through the park.

The swamps, tinged green year round, are the focus for 550 bird varieties, the largest number of species in one habitat anywhere in the world; on drier ground, the Kori bustard – the heaviest flying bird – can be found. Enjoy your full day of game viewing at Tarangire National park and overnight at Tarangire Safari lodge

Day 8: Tarangire - Amboseli

Transfer after breakfast and transfer to Amboseli National Park. Famous for its big game – elephants, lions and cheetahs are the main attractions – and for its great scenery beauty. Amboseli embodies five main wildlife habitats, plus a generally dry lake-bed – Lake Amboseli. These are open plains; extensive stands of yellowbarked acacia woodland; rocky, lava strewn thorn-bush country; swamps and marshes; and at the western end of the reserve, above Namanga, the massif of Ol Doinyo Orok rising to over 2,760m (8.300ft) and still for the most part zoologically unexplored. Enjoy your afternoon game drive at Amboseli National Park and overnight at Ol Tukai Lodge.

Day 9: Aboseli

Enjoy your morning and afternoon game drive at Amboseli National Park.

Full board accommodation is included in the tour price. Dinner and overnight at Ol Tukai Lodge. Also don’t forget to see the best view of Mount Kilimanjaro when sitting at your Lodge and doing game drive for the best picture taking.Then overnight at Ol Tukai Lodge

Day 10: Amboseli – Nairobi

After breakfast, you will start morning game drive en route to transfer to Nairobi city for your overnight or airport drop off.
